The firm is based in Fredericton, New Brunswick and specializes in fire protection engineering, building code consulting and investigative engineering.

R.J. Bartlett Engineering Ltd. has an in-house technical staff of three professional engineers, five engineers-in-training, one senior technologist, two technologists, one junior technician, and technical support personnel. Membership in associations, on codes/standards committees and involvement in design projects have resulted in affiliations both within the fire protection engineering field and across all engineering disciplines.
